Board of Directors in the new Falcetti showroom, Masterclass with Tim McFarland, with Kevin Schwarz and Chia Ying Lee getting valuable guidance, the day-long event ending with dinner at PapaRazzi.
Soirees
The French Themed soiree was a very special event, with two Eiffel towers serving not only as decoration but also as prizes: Daniel Jepson (1st) and Robert Finley (runner up) performances. Kevin’s Schwarz’s Dvorak Quintet joined us for the “Rachmaninoff in Dresden” soiree. We also had a 2024 Fundraiser featuring Roberto Poli, one of our jurors, and a 2025 Fundraiser with Jonathan Bass, one of our masterclass teachers.
2024 Boston International Piano Competition
The Longy School of Music hosted the competition. Falcetti Pianos provided the amazing Bösendorfer Grand Piano. The Opening Reception kicked things off on June 5. Sergey Schepkin taught a masterclass the following morning. Silver Stream co-winner Shiori Kiriake (with Nancy Kim) played Rameau’s Gavotte, Co-Chair Richard Einhorn organized the semi-finalists, Gorden Cheng played his 2022 Winner’s Recital, Tim McFarland taught the Sunday Piano Marathon, Co-Chair Sibylle Barrasso with Gold Stream 2nd place Charl DeWet, food at the closing reception, and and winner Jeff Li on the Longy Stage with the BPAA Board Members and Jury.
