Soirees, Master Classes

The membership of the BPAA meets on a regular basis for different events throughout the year.

Soirees

Soirees are opportunities for members to play for each other in a comfortable surrounding.  These events can host anywhere from 10 to 30 people or more, and are usually held at members homes, but sometimes take place at public locations.  There is no charge to attend or participate in a soiree, but everyone is asked to provide something for the group to eat or drink.

The next soiree  is scheduled for Sunday, August 15 2010, at 2:30 p.m., at Andrew's home in Stoneham, MA.

For more information, e-mail soiree@bostonpianoamateurs.org if you would like to attend.

Master Classes

Master classes are arranged with professional pianists from any of the prestigious conservatories and universities in the Boston area.  Members of the association must pay a fee to defray the cost of the venue and the instructor.  Other members and the public may attend as auditors for a small charge.

Master classes were held as part of the 5th Boston International Piano Competition on May 21-24, 2009.  Look for more information on the competition pages.
