Boston International Piano Competition

 

The Fifth Boston International Piano Competition was held from Thursday May 21st, to Sunday May 24th, 2009, at Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts.  

 

2nd-prize winner Ricker Choi posted his very entertaining diary of the competition on his blog.

Grand prize:  Vincent Schmithorst

3rd prize: (no award)

4th prize:  Chung Lee

5th prize:  Noriko Sugiyama

6th prize:  Joan Zarry

 Best performance of a modern work:  Abel Sanchez-Aguilera - Scriabin Sonata No. 7
